Claire and Jack met at a pub when customers weren’t allowed to mingle…
It was during the lockdown at a pub in Newcastle, and because of the pandemic restrictions, everyone had to have a table and remain seated throughout the night. Jack and his mates walked in to find no tables available, so they asked to sit at Claire and her friend’s table. These two were seated next to each other, got to talking, and immediately hit it off. After months of rescheduling, they finally had their first date and the rest, as they say, is history. Before they knew it, they were dancing in the kitchen, listening to records and building their life together, one adventure at a time.

On the day
Tom and I met the couple at this super cute Airbnb that they rented at Arthur’s Point (it’s called Moonlight Cottage, how magical is that? ). It had the most amazing garden with apple trees and lavender! With the bees buzzing around, that place truly was one of a kind, and so we took a ton of getting-ready photos there. Claire had this amazing bouquet of colourful flowers by Orange Blossom Florist, with matching flower crowns for her and her adorable daughter, Florence. After the First Look, we drove to Jackspoint where we met up with their parents and their celebrant, Andrew Bell. The ceremony was beautiful, and there were even skydivers in the background who silently bowed down which was super cool.
Afterwards, we drove to Arrowtown with just Claire and Jack to capture moments of the couple frolicking and enjoying the autumn colours which were so suited to their aesthetics and vibe.
