Lucy & Justin
“The Adventure Package”
Love Story
Lucy and Justin’s story comes way back to when they met at a school holiday programme & then again in high school. Surrounded by mutual friends, they connected through late-night Skype calls and endless Facebook chats. In 2014, at their Year 12 formal, Justin asked Lucy to be his girlfriend, marking the start of their love story.
Their relationship was a roller coaster ride. They broke up and got back together several times, testing their love (and their friend’s patience!). Yet, Lucy always believed they were meant to be. By 2016, Justin realised it too, and they haven’t looked back since.
Their lives have been filled with adventure—travelling to Malaysia, Japan, New Zealand, and exploring Australia. Summers were spent at the beach, winters camping under the stars with friends. In 2021, they moved in together, and shortly after, Lucy landed her dream job as an international flight attendant. Justin, a qualified electrician, was ready for the move, and they embraced their new life in Sydney.
In a beautiful full-circle moment, Justin proposed in Hakone, near Mt. Fuji, during a trip to Japan. His heartfelt proposal echoed the same sincerity from their high school days.
Eloping in New Zealand, with a helicopter ride and breathtaking scenery. “It’s the perfect way to focus on us,” Lucy says. Later, they’ll celebrate in Adelaide with friends and family, blending adventure with love.

On the day
I met Lucy and Justin at their super cool Airbnb on the day of their elopement. It was a beautiful A-Frame house at Wilson Bay, with a gorgeous stretch of lawn at the front, perfect for a First Look. Lucy had prepared so much and curated everything! Their ring boxes were matching, and everything else had a gorgeous green tone which made the getting-ready photos so easy to capture.
After getting ready, we did their first look out at the lawn before we headed to Heliworks and flew up to Cecil Peak. I was in the middle of winter, so the snow was pretty deep but we had so much fun walking (or trying to, at least haha!) towards their ceremony spot. Their ceremony was so unforgettable because of how much laughter we shared together with the couple and Siobhan, their celebrant.
After the ceremony, we flew across to the Remarkables, where there wasn’t too much snow around, and we set up a beautiful picnic at the edge of a rocky outcrop. It was so breathtaking, Lucy and Justin looked like they were on top of the world, enjoying their delish spread from Lavish Grazing and their beautiful white cake from The Country Cakery. We ended the day with more photos and a pop of champagne.
Congratulations again Lucy and Justin!
