Love Story

Alexandra and Daniel went to the same school but never really knew each other…

Years later, their friendship circles began to overlap, and that’s when everything changed. What started as casual encounters quickly grew into something deeper, and before they knew it, they were inseparable.

Their love thrives on adventure. Whether travelling the world or watching their children grow, they cherish life’s journey together. Their perfect weekend? Escaping to a wintery rainforest treehouse, technology-free, with just the crackling fire and each other.

When it came to their wedding, eloping felt right. “It’s more intimate, more meaningful,” Alexandra says. They wanted a day that was entirely theirs—focused on their love, surrounded by nature, without the hustle of a big event. Their elopement isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a reflection of their journey—simple, heartfelt, and uniquely theirs.

On the day

I met Alex, Daniel and their two daughters at the beautiful Kamana Lakehouse on the day of their elopement. We took advantage of the amazing views on their deck overlooking the Remarkables and captured their First Look there before heading over to Heliworksas well as capturing some cute getting dressed moments with the girls

Then it was a quick flight up to the snow-covered Remarkables, where had their ceremony with Ellie. Everything looked divine, with the snow glittering under the sunlight. Alex and Daniel were so excited, and the girls were so cute taking turns at holding the bouquet for Mum and hiding under her dress (how cute right?).

After their ceremony, we headed down to Jackspoint, which was lovely with the golden grass and really warm. Such a contrast to the white peaks of the Remarkables. We set down a nice warm rug and their little family enjoyed a picnic (shout out to Lavish Grazing).

Congratulations again, Alex and Daniel!
