From remote alpine landings and glacier-fed lakes to untouched mountain peaks only accessible by air, it adds a sense of adventure, intimacy, and scale that simply can’t be recreated anywhere else.
Flights can be added to any of our elopement packages, and we’ll help you choose the perfect backdrop based on the season and the feeling you’re drawn to.
Helicopter flights are arranged through us for a seamless experience, with payment made directly to Heliworks on the day of your flight.
Every flight includes a 45-minute landing at your chosen peak, flying from Queenstown in a private 6-seater helicopter just the two of you, with space for up to four passengers to share the moment. For larger groups, we’ll seamlessly arrange a 9-seater helicopter or additional flights so no one misses out, simply tell us your guest list and we’ll take care of the rest.

Your helicopter flight is arranged through Heliworks for a seamless experience, and payment is made directly by you on the day of your flight.
No logistics, no back-and-forth, just everything ready for you in the background.
You’ll check in at the heli base around 30 minutes before your flight.
The space is warm, relaxed, and designed for ease with comfortable seating, toilets to freshen up, and time to take it all in before you lift off.

Big Geordie and Cecil Peak deliver that classic Queenstown cinematic feeling. Think wide lake horizons and mountain drama in every direction.
Working with a tighter budget?
Cecil Peak (The Spur or The Ledge), The Remarkables, and Roundhill start from $1,770 while still delivering incredible alpine scenery.
Want something remote and wild?
Lake Lochnagar, Vanguard Peak, and Lake Luna feel completely untouched, quiet, vast, and like the world belongs only to you.
Want to touch snow underfoot?
July–September typically offers the best chance of snow on the ground, guaranteed underfoot at The Remarkables, Lake Erksine and Cecil Peak (The Spur).

- Our Moment package includes one helicopter location, giving you a beautiful experience in an alpine setting.
- Our Adventure package allows up to two helicopter locations on the same day, perfect if you want variety
- Our Luxe package includes up to three helicopter locations, creating a full storytelling experience across multiple peaks, lakes, or glaciers.
We’ll help you plan the flow so each location feels intentional, unhurried and seamless.
Your elopement isn’t defined by the forecast, it’s guided by it so you still have an unforgettable experience no matter what the sky is doing.
- We closely monitor the weather in the days leading up to your elopement and stay in direct contact with Heliworks to make the best possible call.
- If flying isn’t possible, we already have beautiful ground-based locations ready to go so the moment still happens, just in a different (and equally stunning) way.
- If conditions shift, your heli flight can often be rescheduled to another time or location where it’s safe and spectacular to fly.
- We’ve guided couples through every kind of scenario you can imagine. You don’t need to problem-solve anything we’ll calmly lead the way.
