Mariah and Cole’s relationship has a strong foundation of friendship, and that’s the greatest gift of love anyone can ever receive. Spending a lifetime with someone who loves, cares for and respects you is a dream that everyone wants, and this couple has made that dream a reality. Coming from the United States, they have decided to celebrate the start of a lifetime at Coromandel Peak, Wanaka.

On the day
Originally from Florida, Mariah lived in Dunedin for a couple of months before she had to move back home when the pandemic hit. New Zealand has been close to her heart ever since, so she wanted to bring Cole and tie the knot here. For their accommodation, they rented an amazing Airbnb overlooking the lake, perfect for getting-ready photos. Mariah’s hair and makeup were done by Eve Makeup and (hair stylist name), and she looked absolutely beautiful for the first-look photos on the deck overlooking the lake.
Mariah’s fried Emie was on hand to celebrate with her from the States since she had Airpoints saved up. Travelling points are such a huge saviour for surprise flights! After getting-ready photos at the Airbnb, we drove to the airport to check in for our flight to Coromandel Peak, the sun was shining and we didn’t have a care in the world. Just minutes after the couple’s ceremony with cutie pie celebrant Sarah Noble, the rain started to pour & we made for the warmth of the helicopter. Luckily, in typical NZ style, the rain cleared & we found a glorious pocket of sunshine to get tons of footage and enjoy the epic views.
Halfway through the ceremony, the wind picked up and even though the rain caught up with us, the couple were such champs for pushing through it. Once we were back on the ground, we ended the “Bonanza Package” by driving up to Deer Park Heights where we popped the bubbles and took even more incredible shots with the amazing Queenstown as the backdrop.
Even with the unexpected rain, Queenstown was still magnificent
