Erika & Ross
“The Adventure Package”
+ 2 additional hours
Love Story
The two met on a dating site in 2018, and the rest is history. They’ve always loved spending time together, from travelling to everyday activities like cooking and going for a run. Nothing says “two hearts beating as one” more than these two. With their family in tow, they made it official on top of a mountain in New Zealand, and we were lucky enough to witness two beautiful families come together to celebrate love and adventure. An intimate elopement with guests on top of a mountain in NZ? Yes, it’s possible!

On the day
We started the day by picking up the couple from the Central Private Hotel, together with Erika’s sister, Morgan, and her boyfriend. They had family flying in from all over the world, some from Canada, Australia and the rest from different parts of New Zealand. We had three helicopters to fly everyone to The Remarkables for the wedding ceremony with Philippa Thomas. It was such an amazing day; the light was beautiful, and the couple wore their sunnies, which made their outfits super cool, especially with Erika’s gorgeous Anthropologie dress and platform boots.
After the ceremony, we celebrated with some champagne and a picnic platter. All the guests boarded the helis bound for the town, while we, together with the newlyweds, Morgan and her boyfriend flew up to Cecil Peak for some couple’s photos. It was very windy, but it just added so much drama, with Erika’s hair and dress flowing, which was SUCH a vibe. The clouds also celebrated with us, which made the photos even more atmospheric.
Back on the ground, we met everyone at the QT Hotel, where they had hired a private room for a beautiful reception dinner. Kyla (Bespoke Weddings and Events) set up some divine flowers for the table settings, and with the private room looking out of the lake at the Remarkables, it was one heck of a reception. We also prepared a fun and delish cake for them (shoutout to Sophie Roseanna!), with a figurine of their dog Scotia on the top saying “drinks on Scotia”, which was super adorable! We took advantage of the beautiful surroundings and captured canapes, drinks, speeches and the main course, which looked so delish!
