Kylie and Jason’s love story started with them being apart…
Two people at opposite ends of Sydney, six months and a city between them and a lockdown that paused the whole world. Without the usual dates to fill the time, they did something rarer: they wrote. Messages every day, thoughts and feelings exchanged slowly and honestly, building a foundation so strong enough to withstand the time apart.
When they finally met in person, restaurants and movies were still off the table. So they got creative. Kebabs in the car with a beautiful view, beach trips, and riverside picnics. Just the two of them in their own little bubble, falling in love quietly and on their own terms.

On the day
Kate met Kylie and Jason at Heliworks with their wonderful celebrant, Sarah Noble, and flew out to Lake Erskine under the most breathtaking conditions.
Low cloud draped across the mountains, soft mist hanging in the air, moody and cinematic and absolutely perfect. That 20-minute scenic flight had been, by their own words, the most breathtaking scenery they had ever seen.
Kylie looked stunning in a floral, flowy gown with the most gorgeous pointed studded shoes, and from the moment they landed, the two of them were radiating with joy. Laughter rang out across the landscape throughout the entire ceremony.
It was the most intimate ceremony, with Kylie and Jason handfasting using a ribbon gifted by a dear friend. They held their wooden just eloped sign, exchanged rings, and said their vows with the mountains as their only witness.
After the ceremony and a full hour exploring Lake Erskine, we ended their elopement adventure with Kylie and Jason absolutely glowing and even more in love.
