Mark & Mia
“The Adventure Package (Photo + Film)”

Love Story
Mark and Mia’s story began in 2016, not as a whirlwind romance, but as a deep and immediate friendship. Mia was the “new girl” at work, and after being seated right next to Mark, the two became instant best friends.
That foundation of friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic partnership in 2019, a journey that has seen them share a love for travelling, working out, and the simple joys of life. For Mark and Mia, a perfect weekend isn’t about grand adventures (though they love to explore!), but rather the quiet comfort of home, watching movies and spending time with their two adopted cats.
When they decided to get married, they knew they wanted a day that was entirely about them, free from pressure and set in Queenstown, a location that had been one of their dream destinations for a long time.

On the day
Tom and Kaleb met the couple on a rainy April day at a picturesque farm area where they were getting ready together in a small but incredibly cute Airbnb. Mark looked sharp in a dark tan, almost orange-colored suit, while Mia opted for a flowy, romantic wedding dress, paired with practical boots, perfectly suited for a mountain adventure.
After capturing their first look in the garden outside the Airbnb, Tom and Kaleb accompanied them to Skipper’s Lookout at Coronet Peak for their ceremony. A gorgeous ceremony with Andrew Bell, with the Queenstown mountainscape as their background.
Following the vows, the group headed to Skippers Canyon, where Tom watched the sky turn dark and dramatic. While the rain began to fall, it added to the cinematic quality of the day, making the mountain scenery feel even more epic.
Knowing the couple specifically wanted to capture the vibrant autumn colors of the region, Tom led them to Speargrass Flat and Whitechapel Road. They found the rain to be incredibly romantic, making the bright yellow leaves and the road surface look shiny and vibrant.
Our team captured some of their favourite moments here, Mark picking Mia up, and the two of them running through the autumn trees and past old stone ruins.
Their elopement day perfectly embodied the feeling of being “lost in love”!
